Pennsylvania energy options
Pennsylvania provides separate official comparison websites for electricity and natural gas.
Electricity
PAPowerSwitch
PAPowerSwitch is the Pennsylvania PUC's electricity shopping tool. It uses your ZIP code, distribution company and rate schedule to show relevant offers. Competitive offers may not be available in every area. [1]
Before you decide: Use the rate schedule on your bill, then inspect the contract term and full price conditions before leaving the comparison tool.
Natural gas
PAGasSwitch
PAGasSwitch is the Pennsylvania PUC's natural gas shopping tool. Search using the gas utility and service location, rather than assuming your electricity supplier also provides gas. [2]
Before you decide: Compare your utility's gas supply option with the entire supplier offer, including fees and renewal provisions.
Continue your comparison
Check the total price and contract terms before accepting an offer. For service or billing questions, find the right contact.
