Texas energy options
Power to Choose is the Texas electricity comparison destination linked by the state's Department of Housing and Community Affairs. Check that your address is eligible for retail choice.
Electricity
Power to Choose where choice is available
Use Power to Choose to check electricity offers for your ZIP code and service territory. Supplier choice is not universal across utilities, so confirm eligibility if you are served by a municipal utility or cooperative. [1] [2] [3]
Before you decide: Ask for the Electricity Facts Label and calculate the bill at your own usage. A headline price at one consumption level may not match the amount you will pay.
Natural gas
Check gas service separately
Power to Choose is an electricity tool. Its listings do not establish natural gas supplier choice. Ask the gas utility serving your address about its current tariff and any account-specific transportation options. [2] [4]
Before you decide: Keep gas comparisons separate from electricity and confirm all commodity and delivery charges in writing.
Continue your comparison
Check the total price and contract terms before accepting an offer. For service or billing questions, find the right contact.
